Falling Objects

Photography

The brief for this project was to explore notions of constructing reality within a studio environment across a cogent and coherent series of images. My concept was to capture the fragility of delicate, breakable objects through movement and generate a tense and suspenseful atmosphere. In achieving this, I photographed such objects and composed them so that they were on edge or falling in space. I also used white objects to enhance their pure and fragile state. Using a simple colour palette and similar compositions, created a coherent and well-developed series.
